We have established a number of committees to provide in-depth focus on issues that our members currently feel are important to the northwest Cape Coral area. Our committees are charged to study relevant issues and bring forth background and recommendations to the membership at large for consideration. We urge you to join us (if you are not currently a member) and become actively involved in any of our committees that interest you.
Current Standing Committees:
Development Review Committee
Mission: Maintain and update the NWNA Web Site, the two NWNA Databases, and resolve email and electronic media issues.
Mission: The Parks committee works in partnership with Cape Coral City Parks and Recreation Officials maintaining existing parks, and planning the development of new parks within our organizational boundaries.
Northwest Cape Coral Neighborhood Association, Inc.
Mission: The Membership Committee's mission is to promote the association's advocacy initiatives and benefits by recruiting and retaining members as well as encouraging ongoing member feedback and participation. Membership drives are a regular activity.

Mission: Working with local officials and residents, the Public Works Committee will participate in maintaining and improving the water ways of Northwest Cape Coral. Current topics include canal dredging, the Ceitus barrier issue, boating safety, and shoreline initatives. This committee will work closely with the City of Cape Coral in all transportation related areas in the Northwest Cape (within our organizational boundaries). Current areas of focus include Bike Lanes, Road Paving, Burnt Store Road Widening, Road Repair, and Street Lights.
Mission: To provide information and resources to the Northwest Cape Neighborhood Association to work toward achieving a green, clean, Florida -friendly environment. Projects include Parkway median beautification, and the annual Trash Bash.
Mission: To enhance property values and the quality of life in the Northwest Cape by tracking local development issues, reviewing land use and zoning requests and advocating with government and commercial entities on behalf of residents. DRC stances are based on in-depth research into issues and the majority opinion of NWNA membership. Current topics include Seven Islands development, the Utilities Expansion Project and the Luxury RV Park.
Note: All Standing Committee Chairpersons are a member of the Board of Directors.
