[Copied from NWMA Bulletin Dated November 16, 2019 to NWNA Members]
Dear NWNA Member,
We are pleased that you are part of our voluntary membership group that was established during 2004 to keep members informed on issues impacting the northwest Cape and to provide a unified voice to express our opinions on issues that affect our community. Our stand on any issue reflects the majority opinion of our membership. That is why your feedback and support is vital to us as we deal with matters affecting the future growth and commercial activity in our northwest community (within the city limits west of Santa Barbara Blvd. and north of Pine Island Road).
In addition to our association website at www.nwcape.com, you will benefit from timely bulletins and informative membership meetings to keep you current on the issues impacting our community. To assure that you receive our bulletins, be sure to add nwna@nwcape.com to your address book.
During 2019, we have three association meetings (January 10, March 14, and September 26) along with our annual meeting on November 14. Our meetings are held in the Christa McAuliffe Elementary Charter School cafeteria, 2817 SW 3rd Lane, from 7pm to 8:30pm. Special Meetings are also scheduled whenever there is a major issue affecting our northwest community. We are also one of several sponsors of an Annual Clean-up event in the northwest Cape that is held in conjunction with Earth Day.
Our committees were formed based on the interests expressed by our membership. Participating in committees is not only a great way to meet other members but also brings in new ideas and provides members an opportunity to add value to our community. We encourage you to take the time to learn more about our committees: Development Review (land use and zoning issues involving commercial activity), Public Works (Marine, Neighborhood Beautification & Transportation issues), Membership, Information Technology, and Parks. Information regarding our committees is posted on our website Committees or just e-mail us at nwna@nwcape.com.
We hope that you will find your membership a rewarding experience and we look forward to your participation in meetings and events.
Together We're Better!
Best regards,
John Bashaw, President
