Sidewalks and Bike Path Planning

All work done for sidewalks and bike paths get funding from grants.  As such, the work is planned and presented to the City Council at a public meeting, after which the plan is approved or sent back for revision.

The Cape Coral Public Works Department has a set of maps of various types of activities going on in the city (see maps).

In addition, the city maintains individual web pages for some of the larger projects, such as the Shared-Use Non-motorized (SUN) trail, which will add about 6.5 miles of pathways for bicycles and pedestrians along the north side of Van Buren Parkway, the east side of El Dorado Boulevard, and the north side of Kismet Parkway. The project extends from Burnt Store Road to Del Prado Blvd.
