Annual NWNA Clean-the-Cape
Supporting Keep Lee County Beautiful and the Great American Cleanup
Saturday, March 30, 2024 8:30-11:30 am
Sirenia Vista Park (north picnic area)
3916 Ceitus Parkway Cape Coral, FL 33993
The NWNA is again partnering with Waste Pro, Keep Lee County Beautiful, and the City of Cape Coral to help make our city beautiful again. On the Great American Cleanup Day, March 30, 2024, we will meet at Sirenia Vista Park to launch our next Clean-the-Cape event. For those of you familiar with the NWNA, you’ll know we have conducted these “trash bashes” for 20+ years. We are typically among the largest group of volunteers in Lee County so let’s keep the momentum going!
At 8:30 a.m. on March 30 at Sirenia Vista Park, we will gather our volunteers, make suggested cleanup assignments throughout the NW Cape, hand out KLCB provided t-shirts (while supplies last), trash bags, and safety supplies, and answer any questions participants may have.
Then, we'll get to work collecting trash throughout the morning and disposing of it in the dumpsters at Sirenia Vista Park. Bulk items should be brought to the Bulk Waste Center at 1200 Kismet Parkway. Note that the bulk-drop off-site entrance is off NW 14th Avenue, at the western portion of the complex.
We will reconvene at 11:30 a.m. for some neighborly conversation and a pizza party as we have done in the past.
This is also a great opportunity for students and other needing community service hours!
