May 7th, 2024 GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING PRESIDENT'S RECAP & SURVEY

President's Message

Always a good practice to take a few days to reflect on the meeting and feedback from our residents.
WHAT DO YOU WANT? This was the message going in and it remains the same coming out of this meeting.

The PowerPoint Presentation - will become an important tool for your use. Please utilize and review the design and concepts offered as you take the survey.

Please forward to family, neighbors, client customers, and friends residing in the North 3 UEP zone to complete the survey.

Re-imagining our streets, bridges, and medians is the first step toward re-development and actualization.  The only way that we can make a difference together is to drive resident traffic to our survey and complete it!   Look at this survey with a sense of importance as the coming election.  What you want can define and shape our future.   NWNA will incorporate all data to publish a clear vision and strategic plan for NW Cape.   This publication will be delivered to city staff and the design plan contractor.

Our volunteers have invested a tremendous amount of time and energy to capture YOUR COLLECTIVE VOICE.

This is the primary function of NWNA.
If we do not come together to advocate for ourselves, who will?    Please be a part of defining our future, otherwise you may wake up 10 years from now and find things much the same.   On the flip side, you may find yourself looking down at a text message, seconds later swimming in a canal where a bridge once stood.

Sure, would be nice to have park benches, streetlights, walking paths and bike paths under a tree line and out of traffic.    Maybe our bridges on Old Burnt Store Road will be removed, maybe these bridges will be elevated or replaced with walkways.    Maybe your boating activity is not limited to smaller vessels.   Maybe high tide is no longer terrifying passing under your bridge.    Maybe installing roundabouts was the best thing we ever did?   Maybe things are just fine the way they are.   What Do You Want?    Just let us know, PLEASE
